Thanks for visiting Videolicious!
Below you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions on how to use the Videolicious App.
Q: Which clips work the best with Videolicious?
A: Videolicious will automatically edit any video and photo clips shot with your phone. Videos and photos shot horizontally will work the best; vertically shot images will be cropped to fit.
Q: How long should the shots be that I include in a Videolicious video?
A: Videolicious will automatically trim your shots to fit your story. That said, if your shots are very short (for example, less than 4 seconds), then the Videolicious editor will have less to work with and video quality might be reduced.
Q: How can I enhance my videos?
A: The best tip is to pick your shots in the order that you’d like them to appear in your movie, and, when you tell your story, tell it in the order that you picked your shots. For example, if you are documentating a trip, and you picked a shot of a restaurant, a shot of a mountain, and a shot of a sunset, when you tell your story, say, for example, “we loved the restaurant, and the mountain view was incredible, and then we saw a great sunset.”
Q: Why is there a 10 shot limit for each movie?
A: Limiting the shot count speeds the processing on a phone, and, it’s much easier to speak individually about the videos you selected if you can remember which shots you selected. Future versions of Videolicious may include different options for clip counts.
Q: How do I share my videos on Facebook or YouTube?
A: After completing your movie, press the share button. Then follow the instructions to set up Facebook and YouTube sharing. In short, you’ll copy and paste your Facebook or YouTube uploading email so that future posting on Facebook and YouTube can be done with a quick tap of the share buttons.
Q: Why do some videos have a 50 second limit?
A: Videolicious uses email to enable you to share your videos directly, or through Facebook and YouTube using email uploading. Keeping videos to a max of 50 seconds allows videos to be shared via email. For longer videos, please select the “HD Video” option.
Q: How do I output a video in HD?
A: Most video types in Videolicious are set to output to a size that can be quickly uploaded to Facebook or YouTube. The HD Video setting (in the first screen “Video Ideas”) will output an HD video, which can be shared from the phone”s camera roll.
Q: What’s the difference between the Video Ideas?
A: Videolicious uses a core algorithm to edit the videos automatically. The Video Ideas are meant to share different fun ways and instructions on how to use Videolicious.
Q: How to I give feedback to the Videolicious Team?
A: We would love to hear from you! Please email us at support [at] videolicious [dot] com.
