When you’re making a video to preview a new apartment building, start by collecting your interview. Talk to a developer or someone who can take you in the building.
First, ask them to explain what makes the building unique. Then ask them to talk about special features and amenities. Record each answer as a separate sound bite.
Now collect your supporting shots. You’ll want to get video of each feature your subject mentioned. We got shots of a kitchen space, a meeting room, and outdoor exercise area. Get different distances and angles to make your video interesting. Make sure you get close-ups of anything striking…like this stainless steel faucet.
Now it’s time for your part as a reporter. Think of a way to introduce the story to viewers and record yourself delivering it on-camera.
Now decide which sound bites you want to use. It’s good to end with a bite that sums up the overall living experience at the building.
To put it together, open Videolicious. Select your supporting shots in Step 1 in the order that matches your sound bites. In Step 2, import your sound bites in the order you want them to play. Play back your sound bites, and tap your supporting shots to follow them.
